Gomel Oblast develops $20.8m order portfolio during visit to China
According to the governor, 11 documents were signed in Chengdu within three days. Eight of them are commercial. “Negotiations were held with more than 30 representatives of Chinese companies at the business forum of Gomel Oblast and Sichuan Province,” the governor added.

Gomel Oblast delegation on visit to China
According to Ivan Krupko, the products made in Gomel Oblast continue to win the Chinese market. Thus, Kalinkovichi meat processing plant shipped a trial batch of canned food worth $202,600 in May. Kalinkovichi dairy plant resumed deliveries of skimmed and whole milk powder in April. “The enterprise's capacities make it possible to ship up to 160 tonnes of packaged milk powder every month,” the governor said.

Mammoth remains found in Gomel Oblast
While examining the Besed River in the village of Svetilovichi, Vetka District, divers of the Gomel Oblast branch of the Emergencies Ministry came across remains of an animal. According to preliminary information, these remains belonged to a mammoth. It was confirmed by specialists from the Gomel museum of the Palace of the Rumyantsevs and the Paskeviches.

Belarus' fixed-capital investments in January-June 2023 have been calculated, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee. In H1 2023 fixed-capital investments amounted to Br14.9 billion.
