Kobyakov to chair first Intergovernmental Eurasian Council meeting

MOSCOW, 6 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Premier Andrei Kobyakov will chair the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Eurasian Council which is due to take place in the Russian government residence Gorki in Moscow Region on 6 February, BelTA has learned.

In 2015 Belarus is presiding in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) integration bodies (the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission).

The EEU heads of government are expected to consider the functioning of the integration association and Kyrgyzstan's EEU accession.

On 5 February Andrei Kobyakov met with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev to discuss a wide range of economic issues in bilateral relations as well as integration processes in the Union State and the Eurasian Economic Union.
