Lida Milk Canning Plant signed an agreement to supply dry milk products to Oman and neighboring states in 2025 worth approximately $10 million on the margins of the 6th International Trade Exhibition for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Oman Agrofood 2024 held in Muscat, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
According to the ministry's press service, this market has a significant share in the export portfolio of Lida Milk Canning Plant and its subsidiaries. This agreement will help the company to ramp up exports to the markets of Oman and other countries of the region.
Leading enterprises of the Belarusian dairy industry are taking part in the 6th International Trade Exhibition for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Oman Agrofood 2024 running on 2-4 December with the assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman.
Annually the event brings together producers and processors of agricultural goods, exporters and importers, government agencies and public organizations. In 2023, attending the exhibition were 100 exhibitors from 15 countries. The event drew number of visitors totaled 6,760 representatives of 29 countries.
The exhibition covers such areas as animal husbandry, plant growing, fishery, agricultural technologies, food, packaging.
"The exhibition is an excellent opportunity for Belarusian companies to showcase the export potential, examine the latest achievements and technical solutions in agriculture, fisheries and food industry," the Belarusian National Center for Marketing believes. "Oman AgroFood 2024 is also an effective platform for establishing business ties, identifying promising areas of cooperation, sharing best practices and concluding foreign trade deals."
